UAE motorists will pay less for petrol and diesel from 1 November 2026, following a new round of fuel price cuts announced on 31 October. All three petrol grades have become 24 fils cheaper per litre, while diesel has fallen by 5 fils per litre.
The reduction comes as welcome relief after three consecutive months of rising prices. It is also a notable shift given that international crude prices remained elevated towards the end of October.
UAE Petrol and Diesel Prices for November 2026
The UAE's Gasoline and Diesel Prices Follow-up Committee approved the following rates for November, compared with October 2026. All prices are in UAE dirhams per litre.

Fuel grade | October 2026 | November 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
Super 98 | AED 4.40 | AED 4.16 | Down 24 fils |
Special 95 | AED 4.28 | AED 4.04 | Down 24 fils |
E-Plus 91 | AED 4.21 | AED 3.97 | Down 24 fils |
Diesel | AED 4.80 | AED 4.75 | Down 5 fils |
Overall, the committee reported a petrol price reduction of around 5.6% and a diesel reduction of 1.04% compared with October.
How Much Will UAE Drivers Save on a Full Tank?
For petrol-powered vehicles, every litre costs 24 fils less than it did in October. The amount saved depends on the fuel added, rather than the size of the vehicle alone.
40 litres: AED 9.60 less per fill-up.
50 litres: AED 12 less per fill-up.
60 litres: AED 14.40 less per fill-up.
80 litres: AED 19.20 less per fill-up.
A 60-litre fill of Special 95 now costs AED 242.40, down from AED 256.80 in October. The same volume of Super 98 costs AED 249.60 instead of AED 264, while E-Plus 91 costs AED 238.20 instead of AED 252.60.
Diesel drivers see a smaller reduction. A 60-litre purchase now costs AED 285, compared with AED 288 in October, saving AED 3.
Why Have UAE Petrol Prices Fallen Despite Higher Crude Oil Prices?

The November announcement arrived against a volatile global oil backdrop. Akashvani News reported that Brent crude had reached around US$118 a barrel on the final trading day of October, as markets reacted to supply concerns and geopolitical uncertainty.
However, a rising crude benchmark does not automatically translate into a matching increase at UAE petrol stations. The country's fuel pricing mechanism reviews international market movements on a monthly basis. Retail pump prices are influenced by wider market conditions, not simply the crude quotation on one trading day.
The committee did not release a detailed calculation explaining the specific reasons behind November's reduction, so it would be premature to attribute the cuts to one factor.
First Price Reduction After Three Months of Increases
November's cuts break a run of monthly fuel price rises in August, September and October. The October increase was particularly sharp, pushing Special 95 to AED 4.28 per litre and Super 98 to AED 4.40.
Even with the latest reduction, prices remain above their September levels. Special 95, for example, cost AED 3.69 per litre in September, compared with AED 4.04 in November. That is still 35 fils more per litre than two months ago.
What the November Cut Means for Motorists and Businesses
For everyday drivers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, the price change reduces the cost of commuting and regular journeys. A driver purchasing 200 litres of petrol over a month would spend AED 48 less than at October's rates, assuming the same grade and quantity.

Businesses operating petrol-powered delivery vehicles or larger fleets can see higher aggregate savings when buying more fuel. Diesel users also benefit from the adjustment, although their per-litre reduction is smaller.
Drivers should continue to use the fuel grade recommended in their vehicle's handbook. Switching to a lower octane solely because it costs less may be unsuitable for engines that require a particular grade.
How Are Fuel Prices Decided in the UAE?

The UAE moved to a market-linked fuel pricing policy in August 2015. Under the system, the relevant committee reviews global energy market conditions every month and sets retail petrol and diesel prices for the following month.
November's rates apply from 1 November 2026. The next adjustment, covering December, is expected to be announced towards the end of November under the regular monthly review schedule. Whether prices rise or fall will depend on the committee's next decision.
