Porsche 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition Marks 70 Years of the Brand in Kuwait

Porsche has revealed the limited-production 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition to celebrate 70 years since the first Porsche sports car arrived in Kuwait and the wider Middle East.

Based on the latest 992.2-generation 911 Turbo S, the commemorative model is limited to just 20 cars and will be offered exclusively in Kuwait. Porsche unveiled the edition on 18 May 2026, combining its newest T-Hybrid performance technology with design elements inspired by traditional Sadu weaving.

The project also recognises Behbehani Motors Company, which became Porsche’s first dealer in the Middle East after Morad Behbehani imported a Porsche 356 Cabriolet to Kuwait in 1956.

Porsche gives the latest 911 Turbo S a Kuwaiti identity

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition was developed with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the company’s factory personalisation division in Zuffenhausen.

Its defining feature is the use of Sadu-inspired geometric patterns inside and outside the car. Sadu is a traditional style of wool weaving associated with Kuwait and the wider Arabian Peninsula. UNESCO added traditional Al Sadu weaving to its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020.

Confirmed production and availability details include:

• Only 20 examples will be built. All are intended exclusively for customers in Kuwait, making the model considerably rarer than most global 911 special editions. Porsche has not announced availability for the UAE, Saudi Arabia or other GCC markets.
• The special finishing work is being completed in Germany. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur will apply the distinctive exterior and cabin details beside the main 911 production line in Zuffenhausen. This makes the Sadu Edition a factory-developed model rather than a dealer-created cosmetic package.
• Pricing has not been announced. The standard latest-generation 911 Turbo S is listed in Kuwait from KWD 78,700, but the Sadu Edition’s final price has not been confirmed. Its bespoke equipment and limited production are likely to place it above the regular model, although Porsche has not stated by how much.

Sadu patterns shape the exterior and cabin

The Sadu Edition is finished in Cremewhite and fitted with Porsche’s SportDesign Package in high-gloss black. Its 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Sport Classic wheels combine Cremewhite with black detailing and coloured Porsche crests.

Sadu graphics in Bordeaux Red, Guards Red, GT Silver and black appear along the lower doors and underneath the rear wing. Gold badges on the B-pillars identify the car as a Turbo S Sadu Edition.

Other exterior equipment includes:

• Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes with black brake callipers. The car also receives a front-axle lift system, which should make it easier to negotiate steep entrances and speed humps. These features are particularly relevant for owners using the car on Kuwait City roads rather than keeping it permanently stored.
• Titanium sports exhaust outlets and an electric glass sunroof. An Exclusive Design fuel-filler cap adds another factory personalisation detail. Porsche has retained the functional equipment expected from the Turbo S rather than treating the car purely as a display piece.
• Sadu graphics are applied with restraint. Instead of covering the entire body, the pattern is concentrated along the lower sides and beneath the active rear wing. This gives the edition a clear regional identity without hiding the familiar 911 Turbo shape.

Hand-finished details continue inside

The interior combines black and Bordeaux Red leather with Lightsilver accents. Hand-stitched cross-stitching appears on the dashboard, doors, rear compartment, seats and centre console.

The Sports Seats Plus receive a newly developed textile incorporating the Sadu pattern. The same material appears in the centres of the door panels, while “70 Years” is embossed in Arabic on the head restraints.

Some of the more distinctive cabin details include:

• Illuminated door sills referencing the production run. Each sill contains 20 square elements, representing the 20 cars being built. The seventh square is illuminated in red to mark Porsche’s seven decades in Kuwait.
• A personalised steering wheel and centre console. The black leather GT sports steering wheel has a Bordeaux Red 12 o’clock marker and GT Silver stitching. The centre storage lid is trimmed in Bordeaux Red leather and carries the Exclusive Manufaktur emblem.
• Matching accessories are included. Porsche has also customised the vehicle key, key case and owner’s manual wallet. Buyers can request further Sadu fabric inside the front luggage compartment or glovebox through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch personalisation programme.

The cabin specification also includes a Burmester high-end surround-sound system and Silver Grey seat belts.

The latest Turbo S brings T-Hybrid performance

Underneath the cultural detailing is the newest Porsche 911 Turbo S powertrain.

The 992.2-generation model uses a 3.6-litre flat-six engine with two electrically assisted turbochargers and an electric motor integrated into the Porsche dual-clutch transmission. Combined output is 523kW, equivalent to 711PS.

Porsche quotes:

• 0 to 100km/h in 2.5 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package;
• a top speed of 322km/h;
• all-wheel drive and an automatic PDK transmission.

The Sadu Edition is therefore not simply a visual tribute based on an older Turbo S. It uses Porsche’s newest series-production 911 Turbo platform and its most advanced road-car hybrid system.

Why this Kuwait edition matters across the GCC

The car is exclusive to Kuwait, but its significance extends across the Gulf.

Manufacturers have increasingly used regional culture to shape limited-production vehicles rather than merely introducing global editions through GCC dealers. The Sadu Edition follows that approach by connecting a globally recognised sports car with a design tradition specific to the Arabian Peninsula.

It also highlights Kuwait’s historical importance to Porsche. The Porsche 356 Cabriolet imported by Morad Behbehani in 1956 was the first Porsche sports car brought to the Middle East. Behbehani Motors Company remains Porsche’s authorised importer in Kuwait 70 years later.

Porsche Centre Kuwait also opened a 5,900-square-metre facility in Shuwaikh in 2024, including sales, servicing, hospitality and Porsche Classic support.

A rare Gulf 911 with genuine historical context

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition combines three elements that often drive collector interest: extremely limited production, a high-performance flagship platform and a direct connection to regional history.

Its long-term value cannot be predicted, and Porsche has not published its selling price or allocation process. What is confirmed is that only 20 examples will be produced, all for Kuwait.

For Gulf enthusiasts, the model represents more than a specially trimmed 911. It recognises the country where Porsche’s Middle Eastern story began and places Kuwaiti craftsmanship and identity within one of the brand’s most powerful production cars.
